GREENSBORO HAS UNVEILED ITS NEW HEADQUARTERS. ONE, TWO, THREE. GUERRILLA RF JUST OPENED ITS NEW BUILDING ON PISGAH CHURCH ROAD IN GREENSBORO. THIS IS A SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFACTURING COMPANY. LEADERS MARKED THE OCCASION WITH A RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY AND A TOUR OF THE NEW SPACE. EMPLOYEES ARE VERY EXCITED. I THANK YOU KNOW, CERTAINLY PRODUCTIVITY’S GONE WAY UP COMPARED TO WHERE WE WERE. WE WERE A MUCH SMALLER AREA WITH ABOUT THE SAME NUMBER OF PEOPLE. SO I THINK EVERYONE’S REALLY EXCITED WITH THE NEW FACILITY. THIS IS THE PERFECT DAY TO CELEBRATE THE COMPANY MARKING ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY. THEY HAVE ABOUT 75 EMPLOYEES AND EVERY SINGLE ONE WILL HAVE THEIR OWN OFFICE. STILL AHEAD, PRESERVING HISTORY. THE NEW PROJECT UNDERWAY IN GREENSBORO AND HOW YOU CAN TAKE PART. FROM GRAHAM TO GREENSBORO. WXII 12 NEWS HAS YOU COVERED. KEEP UP WITH YOUR LOCAL NEWS TEAM ACROSS THE TRIAD. FOLLOW LINDSEY CLINE ON SOCIAL MEDIA. AND HIGH POINT. PEOPLE HAD A CHANCE TO COME TOGETHER OVER A DELICIOUS BREAKFAST. THE YMCA OF HIGH POINT HELD ITS 31ST ANNUAL LENTEN PRAYER BREAKFAST. AUTHOR AND BIBLE STUDY TEACHER JAN HARRISON SERVED AS THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER. IN ADDITION TO FOOD AND PRAYER, THERE WAS ALSO MUSIC. IT BRINGS COMMUNITY TOGETHER AND WE THAT’S WHAT WE WANT TO DO THAT WE ALL ARE DEALING WITH LIFE’S STORMS IN DIFFERENT WAYS, AND THIS IS JUST ANOTHER WAY TO COME TOGETHER AND HAVE SIMILAR STORIES AND HAVE FELLOWSHIP TOGETHER. LEADERS AT THE Y ALSO UNVEILED A NEW PRAYER WALL AT THAT EVENT. LOOKING AHEAD, THE CITY OF GREENSBORO IS COLLECTING MEMORABILIA TO RELATED TO AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY OF ITS RESIDENTS. AND IT’S ASKING FOR YOUR HELP TO CONTRIBUTE YOUR MATERIALS. JACKIE PASCALE HAS MORE ON THE EFFORT AND WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR. THIS MURAL OF THE GREENSBRO FOUR ALONG BENBOW ROAD REALLY SHOWS THE IMPACT THIS NEIGHBORHOOD HAS HAD ON THE CITY, AND ESPECIALLY AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY. BUT THERE ARE STILL A LOT OF STORIES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN TOLD, AND THE CITY IS HOPING TO DOCUMENT THEM THROUGH A SCANNING EVENT THIS WEEK. IT IS ASKING FOR FAMILY PHOTOS, CHURCH BULLETINS, POSTCARDS AND ANY OTHER PERSONAL ITEMS FROM FORMER AND CURRENT RESIDENTS OF THE BENBOW ROAD HISTORIC DISTRICT. THIS IS A PART OF AN ARCHITECTURAL SURVEY BEING DONE AS THE AREA APPLIES TO GET ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES. THE MEMORABILIA SCANNED THIS WEEK WILL BECOME A PART OF A PUBLIC DIGITAL DATABASE DOCUMENTING THE NEIGHBORHOOD WHO HAS BEEN A PART OF IT, AND THEIR IMPACTS OVER THE LAST CENTURY. HISTORICALLY, THAT RECORD HAS NOT DOCUMENTED AFRICAN-AMERICAN COMMUNITIES, IN PARTICULAR THE WAY IT SHOULD HAVE, PERHAPS. WE WANT TO GET THOSE STORIES OUT THERE FOR NEXT GENERATION SO THAT PEOPLE WILL KNOW WHO LIVED HERE, WHAT THEY WERE DOING. NATIONAL HISTORIC DESIGNATION, AND WILL MAKE IT ONE OF THE LARGEST RESIDENT CENTRAL HISTORIC DISTRICTS IN THE STATE. AND WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL IS, IS AFRICAN-AMERICAN AND THINGS LIKE THAT JUST DON’T HAPPEN EVERY DAY. THERE’S A LOT OF STORIES AROUND THE BOONVILLE ROAD AREA, AND EVERYBODY’S STORY MATTERS. YOU KNOW, SO. YES. AND, YOU KNOW, IF YOU HAVE THAT HISTORY. SURE. BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW HOW IT MIGHT AFFECT SOMEBODY ELSE. THE SCANNING EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC TOMORROW FROM 2 TO 7 P.M. GREETERS AND AURAL JOCKEY MENTORS WILL BE SET UP AT THE HAYS TAYLOR MEMORIAL YMCA THAT IS ON EAST FLORIDA STREET. BUT IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT OUT TO THURSDAY’S EVENT, THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS TO GET YOUR MEMORABILIA SCANNED IN. AND WE’RE GOING TO HAVE THOSE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE WXII 12 DOT COM IN GREENSBORO, JACKIE PASCALE. WXII 12 NEWS. WELL, MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL IS MAKING ITS RETURN TO THE TRAIL NEXT WEEK. OUR LOCAL TEAMS ARE GEARING UP FOR THE SEASON. WE CAUGHT UP WITH PLAYERS AND COACHES FOR THE WINSTON-SALEM DASH YESTERDAY AND THE TEAM HAS A NEW MANAGER COMING TO THE TWIN CITY FROM THE KANNAPOLIS CANNON BALLERS. HE SAYS WHILE HE OF COURSE WANTS THE PLAYERS TO HAVE FUN, HE ALSO WANTS TO SEE THEM WIN AND GET BETTER. THE OUR JOB AS COACHES MANAGERS WILL BE TO DEVELOP THESE GUYS AND MAKE SURE THEY GET TO THE NEXT LEVEL. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, WE’VE GOT TO TEACH THEM HOW TO WIN AS WELL. SO IT’S GOING TO BE REALLY EXCITING FOR THEM TO LEARN HOW TO WIN IN THE PROPER WAY. IT MEANS THAT IT’S JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER GAME, YOU KNOW, YOU GOT TO GO OUT THERE, YOU GOT TO DO YOUR JOB AND WHATEVER IS ACTIVE, YOU TAKE CARE OF IT. WHEN YOU GO OUT THERE AND TRY TO WIN THE GAME, YOU KNOW, YOU CAN’T LET THE PRESSURE GET TOO BIG. THE DASH WILL HOLD ITS HOME OPENER NEXT TUESDAY, APRIL 11TH, FIRST PITCH IS AT 7 P.M. AND IF YOU’VE BEEN OUTSIDE TODAY, YOU MIGHT HAVE NOTICED THAT IT’S GREAT BASEBALL WEATHER TODAY, EVEN THOUGH THEY’RE NOT PLAYING QUITE YET. YEAH, WE GOT THOSE TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER SEVENTIES LOW AND IS ABLE TO GET OUT AND GET SOME PRACTICE IN FOR SURE. GO ON A WALK. YEAH, EXACTLY. GET THOSE STEPS IN. GOT SOME CLOUD COVER OUT THERE. BUT THAT’S ABOUT THE WHOLE STORY. SO OCCASIONALLY WE’RE SEEING SOME SUNSHINE, BUT IT’S KIND OF A MIXED BAG AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS AND INTO THE AFTERNOON. SO AS WE’RE LOOKING AT OUR AREA, THINGS ARE NICE AND CALM, BUT OF COURSE WE’RE KEEPING AN EYE ON THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY. THESE STRONG TWO SEVERE STORMS HAVE BEEN CAUSING ISSUES SO FAR THIS MORNING. THEY ARE STILL KIND OF IN THAT SEVERE WEATHER THRESHOLD THERE AS WE’RE LOOKING AT THE MIDDLE PART OF THE COUNTRY AS IT HEADS TOWARDS US, THOUGH, THAT SEVERE WEATHER THREAT GOES AWAY. BUT WE DO HAVE THE CHANCE FOR STORMS TOMORROW. SO HERE’S A LOOK AT THE FULL PICTURE OF WHAT WE’VE GOT GOING ON HERE. WE’RE WATCHING AS THIS FRONT PUSHES INTO OUR AREA HERE OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS OR SO FOR TODAY, WE’VE JUST GOT THOSE CLOUDS. TEMPERATURES FEEL MORE LIKE MAY EVEN MAYBE A LITTLE BIT LIKE JUNE WITH THOSE NICE WARM TEMPERATURES. LOTS OF CLOUD COVER, THOUGH. AND THEN HEADING INTO THE EVENING, WE STAY IN THE SEVENTIES FOR QUITE SOME TIME. SO GOOD AFTERNOON AND EVENING TIME FRAME AS WE LOOK TOWARDS THE FOOTHILLS, MOSTLY CLOUDY, BUT STILL TEMPERATURES ARE WARM AND LOOKING TOWARDS THE MOUNTAINS. WE’VE GOT THICK CLOUDS AND SPOTTY SHOWERS EARLY IN THE AFTERNOON HERE AND INTO THE EVENING AND THEN SEEING SOME OF THOSE DRIER SKIES WITH CLOUD COVER STICKING AROUND THROUGHOUT THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. HERE’S A LOOK AT OUR HOUR BY HOUR FORECAST AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. WE ARE NICE AND DRY AND THEN AS WE HEAD INTO THE DAY TOMORROW, WE’LL START TO NOTICE, OF COURSE, SOME OF THOSE CLOUDS BECOMING EVEN MORE THICK. AND THEN THOSE SHOWERS AND STORMS MOVING THROUGH. SO LATE MORNING. WE’VE GOT A COUPLE OF SHOWERS AND THEN INTO THE AFTERNOON, SOME OF THOSE STORMS COULD DEVELOP HERE, BRINGING WITH THEM THE CHANCES FOR SOME DAMAGING WIND AS WELL AS HAIL. AND THAT WILL LAST INTO THE EVENING HOURS. HERE’S A LOOK AT 1030 WHERE WE STILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME SHOWERS AND STORMS TO BE MOVING THROUGH THE AREA AS WE HEAD THROUGH THAT TIMEFRAME. SO AFTERNOON, EVENING AND INTO THE NIGHTTIME HOURS, WE’LL BE WATCHING REALLY CLOSELY AS WE HEAD TOWARDS FRIDAY MORNING. WHILE THINGS WILL BE A LITTLE BIT MORE SETTLED IN THE SEVERE STORM WAY, BUT WE STILL HAVE SOME SHOWERS OUT THERE AS WE’RE WATCHING THIS WEEKEND. A LOT OF RAIN WILL BE TO OUR SOUTH AND WE’RE JUST KIND OF GETTING THE NORTHERN EDGE OF SOME OF THESE SYSTEMS THAT’LL TAKE US THROUGH THE WEEKEND. BUT WE’LL HAVE TO WATCH, OF COURSE, BECAUSE IT COULD AFFECT THAT EASTER WEEKEND PLAN. HERE’S A LOOK AT OUR SEVERE STORM RISK FOR TODAY. YOU CAN SEE WE’RE AT THAT LEVEL THREE THREAT FOR TO OUR WEST. AND THEN AS IT GETS CLOSER AND CLOSER, THAT THREAT DOWNGRADE UNTIL WE’RE AT THAT LIKE GREEN, WHICH IS JUST A CHANCE FOR US KIND OF THOSE STANDARD RUN OF THE MILL THUNDERSTORMS. LOOK AT YOU INTO THE DAY TOMORROW, THOUGH. OUR FORECAST AREA, PRETTY MUCH THE ENTIRETY OF IT UNDER A MARGINAL THREAT, WHICH IS A LEVEL ONE THREAT OF SEVERE STORMS. AND AGAIN, WE’RE TALKING ABOUT HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS BEING OUR MAIN THREATS AFTERNOON, EVENING AND EVEN INTO THOSE NIGHTTIME HOURS THERE. SOME STRONG STORMS MOVING INTO THE REGION. AND THEN BY FRIDAY, WHILE WE STILL HAVE THAT RAIN IN THE AREA, BUT WE LOSE THAT SEVERE STORM THREAT. STILL AN IMPACT DAY, THOUGH, AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND. HERE’S A LOOK AT YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. YOU CAN SEE THE WEATHER STAYS PRETTY UNSETTLED ALL THE WAY THROUGH UNTIL EASTER SUNDAY. ONE MAN FROM GREENSBORO, A LOVE FOR DANCE, HAS HELPED HIM GAIN MORE THAN 9 MILLION FOLLOWERS ON TIK TOK THIS MORNING ON THE LOCAL VIBE, OUR AUDREY BIESK SPOKE WITH TY GIBSON, BETTER KNOWN AS TIGER, ABOUT HIS NEW POPULARITY. TELL US, TY, HOW DID YOUR TIK TOK JOURNEY BEGIN? TAKE US TO THE VERY START OF THIS JOURNEY. OH MY GOSH. IT REALLY WAS BASED OFF JUST GOT PUT IN THE CARDS IN MY HAND AND I REALLY JUST BUILT UP THE FOUNDATION BECAUSE GROWING UP I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WANTED TO DO. COME UP FROM A FIVE TO MYSELF BACKGROUND. BUT I ALLOWED MYSELF TO BE MYSELF AROUND PEOPLE I KNEW. SO WHEN I HAD A LONG TIME AGO FRIEND THAT WE’RE NO LONGER AND COULD NEXT WE SEE WHO TAUGHT ME ABOUT THIS APP CALLED MUSICALLY LITERALLY ON APRIL EIGHT OF 2015. I ANNIVERSARY’S COMING UP FOR IT AND LITERALLY, I JUST WAS KIND OF BATTLING TO THE ROPES IN THE AVENUES, JUST SEEING WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE WAS DOING. AND I WAS LIKE, OKAY, NOW I CAN SEE WHAT I HAVE TO. I LIKE THAT. AND THEN LITERALLY, AS I CAN’T FIND MYSELF ON THE PLATFORM DOING ORIGINAL CONTENT, THAT IS WHAT PROPELLED MY PAGE TO STAND OUT. AND I GOT VERIFIED AT 25,000 FOLLOWERS LATER, I WAS LIKE, OH, Y’ALL REALLY WATCHING ME RIGHT NOW AND NOT MILLIONS OF FOLLOWERS TO THIS DAY. NOW, POINT 2 MILLION TO BE EXACT. GOD HAS BLESSED ME THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE RETIRED JOURNEY TO REACH PEOPLE JUST BY BEING MYSELF AND BEING FUNNY. YOU CAN WATCH TAI’S FULL INTERVIEW ON TRIAD CW DOT COM. BE SURE TO WATCH THE LOCAL VIBE EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING AT 9:00 ON THE TRIAD. CW. FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO 34 FELONY COUNTS ON BRIDGE ACCIDENT. WASHINGTON WITH A CLOSER LOOK AT THE CHARGES AND THE NEXT STEPS IN THIS CASE, I AM JEFF ROSSEN. NEXT ON ROSSEN REPORTS. GROCERY STORE MIND GAMES. YEAH. PSYCHOLOGY. THEY WANT YOU TO SPEND MORE SO THEY HAVE YOU WALK THROUGH THE STORE A CERTAIN WAY. THEY PUT STUFF ON A CERTAIN SIDE OF THE STORE VERSUS THE OTHER EVEN. DO THEY PUT THE STUFF HERE AT EYE LEVEL OR UP HERE OR DOWN THERE? YEAH. EVERYTHING MATTERS. WE’RE EXPOSING ALL THE TRICKS AND THE SECRETS. NEXT. YOU WATCHING WXII V 12 NEWS. WE’RE TAKING A LIVE LOOK OVER MOUNT AIRY RIGHT NOW. IT IS THE BEGINNING OF APRIL. WE’RE SEEING MORE SUMMER LIKE TEMPERATURES THOUGH. JACQUELINE THIS IS THE FIRST MORNING IN A WHILE. I HAVEN’T HAD TO GRAB THE COAT WHEN I WENT OUTSIDE. I KNOW. YOU KNOW, WHEN I WENT OUT FOR MY WORKOUT THIS MORNING, I GRABED A LONG SLEEVE JACKET, KIND OF THING AND AS SOON AS I SET FOOT OUTDOORS. YEAH. DON’T THAT I LOVE MORNINGS LIKE THIS. AND AS WE’RE HEADED INTO THE AFTERNOON, WE’LL CONTINUE TO SEE THOSE NICE WARM TEMPERATURES. I’VE GOT A COUPLE OF CLOUDS OUT THERE RIGHT NOW WHERE IT’S 76 DEGREES IN GREENSBORO, 80 IN BURLINGTON. WE’VE GOT SOME NICE TEMPERATURES ON THE MAP, BUT THOSE STORMS ARE NOT FAR OFF. THOSE THE DOWNSIDE OF SPRING, OF COURSE, IS THAT SOMETIMES WE DEAL WITH THOSE STORMS AND THAT’S WHAT WE’LL SEE MOVING INTO THE AREA TOMORROW. TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW EIGHTIES THIS AFTERNOON, MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES AS WE’RE GOING THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. WE’LL END UP WITH SOME NICE TEMPERATURES AND SEE SOME SUNSHINE HERE AND THERE. BUT FOR THE MOST PART, WE’VE GOT THAT CLOUD COVER AND SOME BREEZY WINDS AS WELL. AND THE 10 TO 20 MILE PER HOUR RANGE AS WE LOOK TOWARDS THE FOOTHILLS, TEMPERATURES GET TO THE LOW EIGHTIES, WINDS 5 TO 15 MILES PER HOUR, MOSTLY CLOUDY THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY, BUT OCCASIONALLY GETTING SOME PEAKS OF CLEAR SKY. AND IN THE MOUNTAINS, A SLIGHT SHOWER CHANCE TAKES US THROUGH THE AFTERNOON WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID SEVENTIES. LIGHT WINDS THROUGHOUT THE DAY TODAY. OVERALL VERY PLEASANT AND IT’S KIND OF IN PREPARATION FOR SOME UNSETTLED WEATHER THAT STARTS TOMORROW AND LASTS THROUGH THE WEEKEND. WE’RE GOING TO TAKE A CLOSER LOOK, INCLUDING A LEVEL ONE STORM THREAT COMING OUR WAY AS WE HEAD INTO THE DAY TOMORROW. COMING UP. ALL RIGHT, JACQUELINE, THANK YOU. BREAKING NEWS OUT OF MISSOURI WE’RE FOLLOWING. AUTHORITIES SAY MULTIPLE PEOPLE ARE DEAD OR INJURED AFTER A TORNADO TORE THROUGH THE SOUTHEASTERN PART OF THE STATE. THIS HAPPENED BETWEEN 330 AND 4 A.M. THIS MORNING IN A RURAL COUNTY. WHILE AUTHORITIES HAVE CONFIRMED THE STORM WAS DEADLY. THEY ARE STILL UNSURE OF JUST HOW MANY PEOPLE MAY HAVE BEEN KILLED OR INJURED. A SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATION IS NOW UNDERWAY. OTHER PARTS OF THE CENTRAL U.S. ARE ALSO DEALING WITH SEVERE WEATHER. STORMS HIT PARTS OF ILLINOIS YESTERDAY, BRINGING TORNADOES TO THAT AREA AS WELL. YOU CAN TAKE A LOOK AT THIS VIDEO. ONE WOMAN CAPTURED. YOU SEE DEBRIS THERE FLYING AS THE STORM TOOK OFF THE ROOF OF A GAS STATION AND A RESTAURANT. THE WOMAN WHO TOOK THE VIDEO SAID WHILE DEBRIS DID LAND IN HER YARD, SHE DID NOT RECEIVE ANY DAMAGE. THANKFULLY. WELL, PARTS OF ARKANSAS HAVE ALSO BEEN HIT HARD BY SEVERE STORMS RECENTLY. HERE’S A LOOK AT SOME OF THE DAMAGE IN NORTH LITTLE ROCK. THANKFULLY, RELIEF EFFORTS ARE NOW UNDERWAY AND THIS INCLUDES NORTH CAROLINA BASED SAMARITAN’S PURSE. THEY SENT ONE OF THEIR DISASTER RELIEF UNITS TO THE STATE. AND WE SPOKE WITH ONE VOLUNTEER ABOUT WHAT THEY’RE NOW SEEING ON THE GROUND THERE. THE DESTRUCTION HERE, I MEAN, THEY WERE HIT BY 165 MILE AN HOUR TORNADO. IF STRONG F-3, ALMOST A FOUR AT 170. SO, YOU KNOW, IT’S CATASTROPHIC DAMAGE. WE WERE JUST OUT IN THE FIELD AND, YOU KNOW, YOU JUST SEE HOMES DESTROYED EVERYWHERE, TREES LAYING ON TOP OF HOMES, ROOFS RIPPED OFF, HEAVY EQUIPMENT WORKING IN SMALL YARDS, JUST TRYING TO MOVE THESE TREES AND START THE CLEANUP PROCESS. SAMARITAN’S PURSE SAYS IT’S JUST TRYING TO REACH OUT AND PROVIDE SOME HOPE TO THOSE RESIDENTS AND REMIND THEM THAT HELP IS AVAILABLE. MEANTIME, THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE HAS EXTENDED TAX FILING DEADLINES FOR AMERICANS AFFECTED BY STORMS AND TORNADOES THAT HIT SEVERAL STATES LAST WEEK. THE REGULAR TAX FILING DEADLINE FOR MOST AMERICANS THIS YEAR IS APRIL 18TH. BUT STORM VICTIMS IN PARTS OF MISSISSIPPI AND ARKANSAS WILL NOW HAVE UNTIL JULY 31ST TO FILE INDIVIDUAL AND BUSINESS TAX RETURNS. RESIDENTS IN PARTS OF CALIFORNIA, ALABAMA AND GEORGIA WILL HAVE UNTIL OCTOBER 16TH TO FILE THEIR TAXES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY. A FORMER PRESIDENT FACES FELONY CHARGES. DONALD TRUMP CHARGED WITH 34 COUNTS OF FALSIFYING BUSINESS RECORDS IN THE FIRST DEGREE IN NEW YORK. ALL OF THESE RELATED TO ALLEGED HUSH MONEY PAYMENTS BEFORE THE 2016 ELECTION. EACH CHARGE CARRIES A MAXIMUM OF FOUR YEARS IN PRISON. BARRY JACKSON IS IN CAPITOL HILL NOW WITH THE DETAILS AND HOW TRUMP’S RESPONDING. TUESDAY’S COURT HEARING LASTED LESS THAN AN HOUR. AND PHOTOS TAKEN INSIDE THE COURTROOM SHOW FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP APPEARING STONE FACED. BUT HOURS LATER, DURING HIS PUBLIC REMARKS, MR. TRUMP LASHED OUT FOLLOWING HIS UNPRECEDENTED ARRAIGNMENT. FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP ADDRESSED SUPPORTERS AT HIS MAR A LAGO ESTATE. COMBATIVE AND DOWNPLAYING THE CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST HIM. EVERYBODY SAID THIS IS NOT REALLY AN INDICTMENT. THERE’S NOTHING HERE. HE ALSO RAILED AGAINST PROSECUTORS. THE CRIMINAL IS THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY. THE MANHATTAN DA’S OFFICE HIT MR. TRUMP WITH 34 FELONY CHARGES RELATED TO HUSH MONEY PAYMENTS SURROUNDING THE 2016 ELECTION. TO MAKE THESE PAYMENTS, THEY SET UP SHELL COMPANIES AND THEY MADE YET MORE FALSE STATEMENTS. PROSECUTORS LAID OUT A BROADER PICTURE DURING TUESDAY’S ARRAIGNMENT AND WHAT THEY CALLED AN UNLAWFUL PLAN TO SUPPRESS NEGATIVE INFORMATION THAT COULD HAVE AFFECTED MR. TRUMP’S 2016 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN. TRUMP PLEADED NOT GUILTY AND HIS LEGAL TEAM CLAIMED THEIR CLIENT IS THE VICTIM. WHILE EVERYONE IS NOT ABOVE THE LAW, NO ONE’S BELOW IT EITHER. AND IF THIS MAN’S NAME WAS NOT DONALD J. TRUMP, THERE WAS NO SCENARIO WE’D ALL BE HERE. PROTESTERS FROM BOTH SIDES GATHERED OUTSIDE THE COURTHOUSE IN MORE STANDING FOR DEMOCRACY THAN AGAINST TRUMP. THIS IS A FRAME UP JOB. TUESDAY’S CRIMINAL CHARGES STEM FROM JUST ONE LEGAL MATTER. TRUMP COULD FACE MORE LEGAL TROUBLE FROM INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE STORAGE OF CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS AT HIS HOME. EFFORTS TO OVERTURN 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS AND HIS ROLE IN THE JANUARY SIX ATTACK AND THE NEXT HEARING IN FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP’S CRIMINAL CASE IS SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 4TH IN WASHINGTON. IN BREA, JACKSON, NBC NEWS. WILL 3000 MILES FROM HIS NEW YORK CASE, FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP WON A SUBSTANTIAL VICTORY IN ANOTHER COURT. THE NINTH U.S. CIRCUIT COURT OF APPEALS SIDED WITH THE FORMER PRESIDENT IN HIS EFFORT TO RECOUP ADDITIONAL LEGAL FEES FROM STORMY DANIELS OVER A DEFAMATION SUIT. DANIELS NOW MUST PAY TRUMP’S ATTORNEYS MORE THAN $120,000 IN LEGAL FEES. THAT’S ON TOP OF MORE THAN $500,000 IN COURT ORDERED PAYMENTS TO TRUMP ATTORNEYS. SHE’S ALREADY BEEN REQUIRED TO PAY. SOMETHING TO NOTE HERE, THIS LITIGATION IS OFFICIALLY UNRELATED TO THE CHARGES FILED AGAINST TRUMP IN NEW YORK. BACK HERE IN THE TRIAD, THE NEWEST MEMBER OF THE GUILFORD COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD IS GETTING TO WORK. THE BOARD NAMED A NEW REPRESENTATIVE FOR DISTRICT THREE, BUT IT WASN’T MICHAEL LOGAN. THIS LED TO SOME TENSE MOMENTS AT LAST NIGHT’S MEETING. TAKE A LISTEN. WE ARE HERE TO CONDUCT BUSINESS. NOBODY. OH, YOU’RE NOT. IF YOU WERE CONDUCTING BUSINESS, I WOULD BE SITTING IN THAT CHAIR. MR. LOGAN, I’M GOING TO ASK YOU TO LEAVE THE ROOM. I’M DECIDING I’M GOING TO ASK YOU TO LEAVE THE ROOM. LOGAN YELLED AT THE BOARD AFTER THEY VOTED 6 TO 2 TO APPOINT WILLIAM GOBEL TO FILL THAT VACANCY. OFFICIALS ESCORTED LOGAN AND TWO OTHER PEOPLE OUT OF THE MEETING FOR BEING DISRUPTIVE. LOGAN WAS CHOSEN BY THE GUILFORD COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY FIVE MONTHS AGO TO FILL THE DISTRICT THREE SEAT. IT WAS LEFT EMPTY WHEN PAT TILLMAN WAS ELECTED TO THE GUILFORD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS BACK IN NOVEMBER. THE DIXIE BOARD REJECTED LOGAN’S NOMINATION MULTIPLE TIMES. TURNING TO OUR CONSUMER NEWS IN OUR ROSSEN REPORTS, YOU PROBABLY HEARD SOME COMMON TIPS TO SAVE MONEY AT THE GROCERY STORE. THINGS LIKE STICKING TO A LIST AND NOT SHOPPING WHILE YOU ARE HUNGRY. BUT THERE’S EVEN MORE WAYS NOW TO SAVE, ESPECIALLY AS WE DEAL WITH INFLATION. OUR CHIEF NATIONAL CONSUMER CORRESPONDENT, JEFF ROSSEN HAS THE TIPS. HIGH WITH GROCERY PRICES SO HIGH, WE ARE DOING EVERYTHING WE CAN TO CUT COSTS. AND YOU KNOW, I’VE BEEN GIVING YOU TIPS ALONG THE WAY. BUY GENERIC. LOOK AT THE NET WEIGHT OF THE PRODUCT. BUT GUESS WHAT? TURNS OUT YOU ARE LOSING THE SECOND YOU WALK INTO THE GROCERY STORE. UNTIL NOW, I JUST FOUND OUT THE HIDDEN SECRETS THAT THE STORES ARE USING TO MAKE SURE YOU SPEND MORE. IT’S ALL PSYCHOLOGICAL. WHERE THEY PUT CERTAIN ITEMS, HOW HIGH ON THE SHELF, HOW LOW. AND I’M EXPOSING IT ALL FOR YOU RIGHT NOW, STRAIGHT AWAY. WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THOSE DOORS, YOU’RE GOING IN THE DIRECTION THEY WANT YOU TO GO IN TO SPEND MORE CASH. STORE IS ARE DESIGNED TO HAVE YOU MOVE TO THE RIGHT. OKAY. THE ENTRANCE IS USUALLY ON THE RIGHT. MOST PEOPLE ARE RIGHT HANDED. I’M LEFT HANDED, BUT MOST PEOPLE ARE RIGHT HANDED. AND YOU CAN COME HERE AND BEFORE YOU’VE SPENT ALL THE MONEY. THIS IS THE STUFF TO TEMPT YOU. AS YOU FIRST WALK IN, MAYBE SUNGLASSES IS SOMETHING YOU NECESSARILY WOULDN’T BUY IF YOU HAD JUST ALREADY FILLED YOUR CART AND SPEND SO MUCH. HOW ABOUT FLOWERS? RIGHT. FLOWER. SOMETHING ELSE YOU DON’T NECESSARILY NEED. BUT GUESS WHAT? IF YOU HAVEN’T SPENT ALL THE MONEY YET, MAYBE YOU WILL. AND THE OTHER THING FLIP AROUND THIS WAY. THE DELI MEATS. OKAY? YOU HAVEN’T SPENT ALL YOUR MONEY. MAYBE YOU’LL GET A PAL INSTEAD OF A HALF A POUND IF IT WAS AT THE END. SO GO AHEAD. GO LEFT. HAVE A COUPLE BUCKS. NEXT TRICK, DON’T SHOP AT EYE LEVEL IN THE GROCERY STORE. THIS IS PRIME REAL ESTATE RIGHT HERE. EYE LEVEL. OKAY. THIS IS WHERE THE MOST EXPENSIVE STUFF IS GOING TO BE. FOR EXAMPLE, TOMATO SAUCE, RIGHT? 799, SEVEN, 99 THIS IS ALL I LEVEL. SO LOOK ALL THE WAY UP OR ALL THE WAY DOWN FOR THE BETTER PRICES AND YOU CAN SEE IT RIGHT HERE, ALL THE WAY UP 339. A LOT CHEAPER THAN THAT. RIGHT? AND ALL THE WAY DOWN HERE, LOOK, 299 315. SO, YEAH, YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO GET ON YOUR HANDS AND KNEES TO FIND THE CHEAPER STUFF, BUT YOU’LL SAVE. OKAY, BUT WHAT’S HAPPENING WHEN YOU CAN’T EVEN FIND WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR? YEAH, THAT MAY BE ON PURPOSE. OKAY, THIS ONE IS SUPER TOP SECRET SUPERMARKETS ON PURPOSE. MOVE STUFF AROUND AS OFTEN AS ONCE A MONTH TO CONFUSE YOU A LITTLE BIT. BECAUSE, LET’S SAY YOU LOVE SPECIAL K, WHICH I DO. RIGHT? YOU LOVE THIS SPECIAL K YOUR BRAIN IS SORT OF TRAINED TO COME TO THIS AREA AND YOU KNOW, IT’S GOING TO BE SORT OF RIGHT OVER HERE. THEY MAY TAKE THIS LIKE IN A, YOU KNOW, IN A WEEK OR TWO AND PUT IT DOWN HERE AND MOVE THIS STUFF THERE. WHY DO THEY DO THAT? BECAUSE AS YOU’RE PERUSING AROUND, YOU MAY BUY SOMETHING. YOU’LL BUY THIS, MAYBE SOMETHING ELSE, TOO. AND FINALLY, HERE’S WHERE YOU CAN REALLY GET FOOLED IF DON’T BE TRICKED BY END CAPS, THIS ISN’T NECESSARILY THE BEST PRICE STUFF IN THE STORE. THERE ARE FEW REASONS YOU HAVE AN END CAP. ONE MAY BE THE MANUFACTURER IS PAYING FOR AN END CAP. MAYBE THE STORE IS OVERSTOCKED AND THEY’RE TRYING TO MOVE THE MERCHANDISE, BUT NOT NECESSARILY THE BEST PRICE. FOR EXAMPLE, THESE LAY’S POTATO CHIPS NAME BRANDS $4.79. OKAY. AND THEY’RE EIGHT OUNCES. WELL, GUESS WHAT? I WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN THERE TO SHOP FOR THE POTATO CHIPS ON A CHIP AISLE, AND I FOUND THE STORE BRAND FOR JUST $2.89. SAME AMOUNT, EIGHT OUNCES. SO DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE END. CAPS. WE WON LAST TRICK. TURNS OUT YOU’RE NOT CRAZY. THE CARTS, THEY’RE GETTING BIGGER. THEY’VE ACTUALLY TRIPLED IN SIZE OVER THE LAST FEW DECADES. AND THEY KEEP GETTING BIGGER. NOW, WHY IS THAT? BECAUSE THE BIGGER THE CART IS, THE MORE YOU WANT TO FILL IT. IT LOOKS EMPTY. SUDDENLY YOUR NORMAL GROCERY SHOP LOOKS SMALLER, SO YOU BUY MORE. I’M GOING TO PUT ALL THESE SECRETS AND A FEW MORE ON MY WEBSITE. ROSSUM REPORTS DOT COM. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE. BACK TO YOU. YOU CAN ALWAYS TURN TO GOD TO GET YOU THAT THAT STRANGE. NEXT IT’S A RUN WITH EXTRA RESILIENCE. THE CHALLENGE THIS VETERAN HAD TO OVERCOME TO GET BACK TO THE STARTING LINE AND HIS MESSAGE TO HERS. IS IT IS THAT TIME OF YEAR FLOWERS ARE BEGINNING TO BLOOM. AND YOU MAY BE THINKING ABOUT THE GARDEN YOU WANT TO PLANT FOR THE SUMMER. AND THIS WEEK’S GOLANI, OUR LANIE POPE APP, EXPLORES A RELATIVELY NEW WAY OF GARDENING THAT DOESN’T INVOLVE SOIL. SHE RECENTLY SPENT THE AFTERNOON WITH JAMES GARRETT OF GREENHOUSE TOWERS, WHICH IS A TYPE OF FARM WHERE PLANTS GROW IN THE AIR. GARRETT GROWS MAINLY LETTUCE AND HERBS, SUPPLYING ITEMS TO SEVERAL AREA RESTAURANTS. HE ALSO DEVELOPED A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FOOD CLOSET IN SPARTA DURING THE PANDEMIC, AND HE CONTINUES TO GIVE THEM FRESH PRODUCE. IT IS A BEAUTY TO BEHOLD, AND THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING AND THAT IT IS NEVER DENIED OR RETURNED. IT IS ALWAYS CONSUMED AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. I MEAN, I THIS TYPE OF FARMING ALLOWS FOR GROWING YEAR ROUND AND INDOORS, AWAY FROM THE ELEMENTS. BUT HE DOES DEPEND ON LAINEY FOR THOSE SUNNY DAYS. LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS FUTURISTIC FARM ON TODAY’S GO LAINEY ON WXII 12 NEWS AT 5 P.M. AND REMEMBER IF YOU HAVE A GO LAINEY IDEA, YOU CAN EMAIL IT TO HER AT GALENA AT WXII 12 DOT COM. A BIG SWEET PUPPY IN FORSYTH COUNTY IS LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME. EMILY FROM THE FORSYTH HUMANE SOCIETY INTRODUCES US TO THIS WEEK’S PET OF THE WEEK NAMED DROOPY. I LOVE THIS IS DREW FOR OUR PET OF THE WEEK. SHE IS EIGHT MONTHS OLD GIRL. SHE WOULD BE GREAT IN ANY HOME, BUT SHE WAS GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS, KIDS AND POSSIBLY EVEN CATS. SHE IS UP FOR ADOPTION AT OUR COUNTRY CLUB LOCATION OR A ONE COUNTRY CLUB ROAD AND ON OUR WEBSITE, FORSYTH. HUMANE DOT ORG AND COME AND HELP HER AND GIVE HER LOTS OF LOVE. ONE MORE TIME. IF YOU’D LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT DROOPY, HEAD TO THE SHEL
